Frequently asked questions

Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?
Yes, as long as Lock aspect ratio is checked (the default). Editing the width recalculates the height and vice-versa, so your image never looks stretched. Uncheck it to set exact, independent dimensions.
Can I make an image larger than the original?
You can, but enlarging (upscaling) invents pixels that were never captured, so the result will look softer. For the sharpest output, resize down rather than up.
What file format is the resized image saved in?
It keeps the original format where possible (JPEG, PNG, or WebP); anything else is saved as PNG. The tool uses high-quality smoothing so downscaled images stay crisp.
Do you upload my images to resize them?
Never. All resizing happens locally in your browser on a canvas. Your files stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared.
